Events & Fundraising

Sip and Paint Evening

The Sip and Paint evening was a success with positive feedback and creations. Raised a total of £229.92

Wreath Night

Event was once again successful and well attended. Discussed possibility of raising the cost inline with other comparable events or considering running a second evening. Also raised the possibility of doing a daytime session as a family event where children could join in. Raised £930

Bazaar

Highly successful for the very short time the event runs for. Craft table was, as always, busy and successful. Suggested doing a craft event at Christmas time as a standalone event in light of this, maybe in the hall. Raised £909 and with raffle added was £1220.

Christmas cards ditched as an activity as it requires liaison with school and also chasing/managing parent orders. As an alternative we did calendars instead with images for each month coming from each class. Over-ordered and didn’t manage to sell them all. Have made a loss. May make tea towel instead next year. Ideas to be discussed in run up to next Christmas.

Cake Sale at Uphill Fun Day

Raised £85 approx.

Spends

Christmas Parties

Food was all purchased through PTFA funds with a total spend of £317.70 (approx. £1 per child). Was well received within school.

Secret Santa

With parental voluntary donations, only lost £26 which is good as it is not intended to make a profit. What did not go well was parents ordering too many gifts so need to find a way of limiting total order to 4 maybe for future runs of the SS scheme.

School Wishlist

After some new books for the big read.

Want some storage for outdoor EYFS play.

Want to replace the gym equipment.

PTFA bank balance is currently £3700.

90s Event

Various details were discussed with following outcomes:

  • Ticket price for last minute sales to be set at £20 – done
  • Set time for ending of ticket sales (now set to 150 minutes before the end) – done
  • Selling tickets on the door (cash?) – possible option with £20
  • Speakers – agreed to go with lower spec due to lower attendance
  • Agreed to sell glow bracelets as 4 for £1 glow bracelets
